Any family of a Pre-K 3/4 through 12th grade student that shows a demonstrated need, as determined by FACTS Grant & Aid, a trusted third-party agency, is eligible for financial aid at New Braunfels Christian Academy. We encourage all families concerned with affordability to complete a FACTS Grant and Aid application. Many factors are considered when determining a family’s financial aid, including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family. The resources available for the program in a given year must also be considered. NBCA is unable to estimate the financial aid for which a family qualifies without completion and review of an aid application. Financial aid awards can provide up to 35% of the cost of tuition.

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION AND AWARD PROCESS 

STEP 1: Submit an Application 

Parents must apply directly with FACTS. All financial information is kept confidential.  FACTS charges a $35 application fee per family.  Aid applications must be complete and verified to be considered. Prior year tax return will be sufficient for consideration up until July 1st. All applications considered after July 1st will require the current tax return.

• NEW FAMILIES:

  Once you have completed and submitted your enrollment application, login to your Application Account. From the top menu bar, select the FACTS Financial Aid tab.

  
  

• EXISTING FAMILIES:

  Login to your FACTS Family Portal account. From the green column on the left, click on Financial tab. In the Financial Links box, select Apply for Grant & Aid. 

STEP 2: Evaluation by FACTS 

FACTS evaluates applications based on criteria set by NBCA and makes a recommendation to our financial aid committee. Financial aid applications take two weeks to process by FACTS once all supporting documents have been received. 

STEP 3: Review by Financial Aid Committee 

The qualifying amount FACTS recommends is reviewed by the financial aid committee and an award amount is determined based upon a combination of many factors. Awards are made within two weeks of the FACTS evaluation.  Additional information may be requested, such as a current pay stub if a large change in income is notated.

STEP 4: Notification of Award 

Families are notified of their financial aid award via email; families have two weeks from the award date to accept. Upon acceptance, the tuition agreement is adjusted accordingly.  Failure to accept in the allowed time will cause funds to be allocated to other applicants.

Award Timeline

February 1st - Applications open

March 15th - Applications due for Round 1 funding

March 31st - Round 1 funding announcement

May 15th - Applications due for Round 2 funding

May 31st - Round 2 funding announcement

July 15th - Applications due for Round 3 funding

July 31st - Round 3 funding announcement

Applications submitted after July 15th will be reviewed on an individual basis and awarded upon verification, if there are any financial aid funds remaining.
