Over the weekend, members of the NBCA Middle School Choir and Band competed at the TAPPS Junior High Solo and Ensemble Music Competition held at The Regent School of Austin.
Competing against talented musicians from 6 schools, our students received valuable feedback from judges and showcased their incredible skills! 🎤🎷🎻

This week, we had the joy of welcoming back Ms. Kelly Doucet, who taught at NBCA for one unforgettable year when our current sixth graders were just second-graders. Along with Mrs. Kolterman, she left a lasting impact on her students, who absolutely adored her! ❤️
After leaving NBCA, Ms. Kelly and her family moved a few times, and she embarked on a heartwarming project: writing a children’s book about her mischievous dog, Henry! 🐶 Her book captures Henry’s hilarious adventures and was a labor of love, created in collaboration with a global team of an illustrator and an editor.
For her visit, Ms. Kelly brought along Henry, now a certified therapy dog, and shared her creative journey with our students. She read her book, handed out stickers and treats, and inspired our kids to chase their own dreams. It was a day full of laughter, learning, and wagging tails! 🐾💛
